Our chef prepares authentic Austrian tavern classics like boiled beef, goulash and Wiener schnitzel for you. Our faithful customers who come to us frequently are even allowed to peek into the pots in the kitchen and they have a chance to make their own food selections. We happily serve you soul food too, above and beyond the typical ragout of veal lungs; we also have lamb lungs and grilled suckling pig’s liver. In addition we constantly adjust our menu to reflect the seasonal offerings of the Viennese markets.
In our purchasing the emphasis is on nature’s gifts and we buy products of the highest quality including the crisp fruits and vegetables, organic meats as well as freshly caught fish. Of course we carry vegetarian dishes too, like dumpling with eggs, noodles and cabbage, and flour dumplings with eggs.
